After replacement of brake lines, I tried to bleed the system but after some
pumps on the brake pedal, at rear caliper starts to come out only air
regardless how long I pump.
Finally, I found that the problem seems to be in the master cylinder (made
by ATE). From the front line (secondary master cylinder) its pump only air,
whereas the rear line seems to be in order. There wasn`t any resistance on
the brake pedal.
I disassembled the master cylinder but inside it`s looked like brand-new. I
also tried a bench bleeding however, without success.
I suspected that the small valve on the front of the piston (that is
supposed to release the fluid to the secondary cylinder?) somehow doesn`t
work even so that this valve also looks good. I tried to flush it with brake
fluid but without any effect.
Meanwhile a friend told me that with his 300E has happen the same.
Therefore, it seems not to be an isolate case.
I ordered already a replacement master cylinder but I`m still curious where
exactly is the problem and could it be repaired?
Any ideas?

When you pump, don`t you mean you pump the pedal 4 times... and then hold...
while someone open up the schrader valve .... (pedal goes down)... then
close the valve again... and repeat?
If not, then ya, you are pushing and sucking air at the same time.

I have a `94 C230 and the brake pad light came on (my front pads were
getting low)... I changed the pads and filled up the brake fluid
resevoir. But the light still stayed on. The owners manual doesn`t
say anything about a specific method to reset it. I tried
disconnecting the battery, but that didn`t work.
Does anyone know how to reset this thing?

A dica de hoje é sobre uma matéria que eu li no site Car Magazine. O carro em questão é a Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss, mas o que vale mesmo à pena na matéria é a presença do piloto que emprestou o nome ao modelo, Sir Stirling Moss.
O texto classudo, típico dos ingleses, esta bem traduzido – embora tenha alguns erros toscos – e conta uma parte da bela história de um dos maiores pilotos de todos os tempos, mesmo não tendo ganho nenhum título mundial de Fórmula Um.

O ponto alto é quando Moss anda no antigo Mercedes SLR original, de 1955, e faz a comparação com o modelo mais recente. Só para se ter uma idéia, o SLR original da foto acima vale 45 milhões de reais!

Deja este celebra inscriptia Intel care ne anunta “Intel inside”. Din anul 2012 se pare ca o vom vedea si pe masinile produse de BMW si Mercedes. Acum sa nu credeti ca pe toate masinile produse de ei. Doar seria 7 de la BMW si C-classe si S-classe vor beneficia de acest privilegiu. Intel a incheiat un acord cu cei doi producatori in urma caruia sistemele computerizate de la bordul acestor limuzine vor fi dirijate de procesoare Intel Atom.
